Why did you pick this career?
I’m still very young. The opportunity popped up and I grabbed it. I’m hoping this will lead to bigger and better things.

What are your future plans for your career?
I initially want to become a financial trader, continue to educate people about the world through responsible journalism, think like an entrepreneur, and pursue a career in public service.

How did you get involved in this career?
I worked hard during my internship at a different radio station and was offered a job at the end. One thing lead to the next. I’m now at CNN Radio.

How did you prepare yourself for this career?
As a student of media and business, what I am studying in school goes hand-in-hand with my current job.

The wonderful networking opportunity with some of our country’s brightest minds.

What are the downsides to this profession?
Constant change.

What is a typical workday for you?
I work around my schedule. Spend about two hours a day researching, sending and reading emails, and making phone calls.

The networking is incredible. Many important people trust my work. I’ve already gotten several other job offers in the media and financial sectors, but I’m not looking at other professions until after I graduate from school.
