This time last year what were you getting ready to do? For some of you, you were getting ready to enter your senior year of college and now you are either going to a job or hitting the payment or the keyboard looking for a job. Your life has taken a 180-degree turn. And it can be a bit upsetting.
I remember the first semester after my graduation. (Yes, I still live in semesters.) I felt really left out and jealous of those who were still in school. Instead of going fall semester clothes shopping I was going to work, worrying about saving and paying bills. Ugh! Real people responsibilities. I didn’t and sometimes still don’t want to deal with it.
College was so much easier for me than the “real world.” I didn’t know how well I had it. No bills, no real responsibilities, it was so much simpler then. As you can tell, I really enjoyed my college years. You can’t tell me that you didn’t. Well, I guess you could but I wouldn’t understand that. Where else in your life are you going to be able to step outside of where you live and be a hop, skip and a jump away from all your friends, activities, and work (if you had work study on campus?)
Am I alone in this? How did you feel the first semester after you graduated?

I’ve been out of school for 3 years and still think in terms of school years. I just had a revelation this week that it’s time for me to think in “adult years.”
Thanks for stopping by!
I have since graduated from thinking in terms of semesters to now quarters because I am in business. I refuse to be an adult, that just doesn’t seem like any fun at all. 🙂
