in Motivation/Inspiration

This month, I am participating in #reverb10! The idea is to reflect on this past year and start manifesting what you want for next year. I usually do take time at the end of each year and reflect on what worked in my life and what hasn’t but I’ve never done it with an audience. So, every day for a month, I will be posting a reflection or a goal via this blog or on Twitter. Check out the site and participate. No sense in waiting for what you want, you have to go out there and get it.

December 1 Prompt: One Word. Encapsulate the year 2010 in one word. Explain why you’re choosing that word. Now, imagine it’s one year from today, what would you like the word to be that captures 2011 for you?

My one word is Beginning.

The beginning of this year I was determined to really put my all into my business. Once the decision was made. I had to figure out how to do it and what that even meant.

  • I wanted snazzy new site. I had to learn what makes one snazzy.
  • I wanted to become a stellar coach. I had to learn what is a coach.
  • I wanted to meet more like-minded people without having to spend money or getting out of my pjs. I had to learn how to use Facebook and Twitter.
  • I’ve constantly learned this year that being in business and a solo entrepreneur takes work and time management but I am seriously enjoying the highs and the lows.

The word I want to use for 2011 is Increase. I want to take everything that I have learned in 2010 and use it to increase my reach.

So what’s your word that encapsulates 2010? 🙂

Beginning! I just updated the post so it is more clear. What is your word?

My word for 2010 is choice — wait, or maybe clarity. For 2011, it’s Rock star! In 2010, I spent a lot of time trying to really get clear about what I wanted to say through my business — and a lot of time worrying if I was clear enough or not before I really dove in. In 2011, it’s time to take that message and share it every way I can and in a BIG, BIG way! I think that’s why the word that came to me was rock star. 🙂

Thanks for asking!

Great post! It is important to reflect so that we don’t repeat the same mistakes or old ineffective habits in the new year. My word that encapsulates 2010 is perseverance. My word for 2011 will be manifestation.
