Today’s Stellar Sunday is by Sue Urda Co-Founder and CEO of Powerful You! Women’s Network.

How often have you put aside whatever you are doing to selflessly assist another person, even if you don’t know them, simply because they asked you to? How often have you made time in your schedule to help an associate, friend or family member get something done? As women, we especially tend to put the needs of others above our own. We are natural nurturers of people, animals and the earth. We put the good of the whole ahead of the good of ourselves, often to find ourselves needing something when we are through assisting the world. Imagine how you might better assist others if you simply took a moment to nurture yourself. Imagine how much fresher, more energetic and alive you would feel if you spent even a few moments, simply taking care of you… Take a bath, a nap or a walk, read a book, do some yoga… or simply sit in nature admiring the beauty of the earth. In giving yourself a hand first, you will find that there is more strength, satisfaction and joy in helping others. And then, give yourself a hand of applause for all the good you do and all the good you are ~ you deserve it.

Now, that’s Powerful!
